World Of Warcraft – The Craft Of Exile

by John Eshan

Crafting is one of the most powerful tools at your disposal for enhancing gear and shaping your character. Learn how to use currency items to reroll stats, target mods with imprints, and even split your items with the new bestiary craft in Einhar’s menagerie. Item level is the backbone of crafting, dictating the pool of potential modifiers for an item.

Crafting Bench

The craft of exile Bench is a key component of the game’s crafting system. It allows players to create or improve items through the addition, removal, or swapping of modifiers. These can be gained from various sources, including orbs, vendors, the devil’s kiss tree, Delve Fossils, and more. This system is so expansive that many players choose to pursue it as an endgame activity. The most basic method of modifying an item is by using orbs on non-unique items. The results of this are wildly unpredictable. Even a single affix can change the entire item’s mechanics. This is often enough to discourage many new players from crafting anything but the most basic equipment.

Alternatively, players can use the crafting bench to create or improve items from an existing base. This is a more stable method, but it can still be very time-consuming. In order to do this, the player must first find a suitable base. This can be difficult, especially for weapons, as there are few good options to choose from. Fortunately, the game provides some useful tools to make this process easier. One of these is the Crafting Bench in the hideout, which can be accessed after completing the hideout quest. This provides access to a few basic recipes, and more can be unlocked by finding items dropped by syndicate members or at certain depths in the Delve mine. More esoteric recipes can also be found by completing certain types of content, such as the Incursion Temple rooms and prophecies.

Another tool to help with crafting is the Harvest Augment, which is available from a unique map. This can be used to improve Medium Cluster Jewel and Large Cluster Jewel crafting, granting additional modifiers or increasing the number of specific ones. It is particularly useful for obtaining the +1 Chaos Spell Damage implicit modifier that is required by some wand builds. The other major source of mods is the reworkable items, which can be obtained by opening containers in the blight or purchasing them from a vendor. These can be reworked into new weapons, armour, or shields that are improved versions of the original item. The upgrade is usually more expensive than purchasing the item from a vendor, but it can be much faster than grinding through a full blight run.

Essence

Essences are a group of currency items that can be used to upgrade normal rarity equipment to rare and/or reroll a rare item’s modifiers with one guaranteed affix. These items can be obtained from essence monoliths which have a chance to appear in any map area. Additionally, they can be obtained through corrupting Essence monsters or by using a Remnant of Corruption on an already-corrupted monster. They can also be purchased in the Marketplace. Each of the seven essences has a unique effect on a piece of equipment. The lower-tier essences, such as the Shrieking Essence of Hatred and Deafening Essence of Greed, can be used on a white item to turn it into a rare item with one guaranteed affix, similar to how an Orb of Alchemy would work. The higher-tier essences, however, offer a bit more oomph. Using a Deafening Essence on a weapon or armour will guarantee a high-tier Life or Damage modifier.

The key to using an essence is knowing which one to choose. It’s a good idea to prepare a base normal item that you want to add some of these modifiers to. Then, use a Whetstone or armour scraps on that item. This will ensure that you have a high-quality base item, making the chances of obtaining a decent mod that much more likely. When it comes to deciding which essence to use, players often look at the affixes that are available on the base item they’re trying to add the mod to. This will help them decide which tier of the Essence to purchase.

Players can also use the fracture mods feature of an item to guarantee two of the essence modifiers. This is useful if they’re trying to achieve a specific goal, like maxing out cold resistance or adding a high amount of damage. The best way to do this is to have a strong non-essence base item, then use the fracture mods on it. This will reroll the item’s prefixes and suffixes, but leave its core mods untouched. The player can then scour, exalt, or chaos orb the item to get the desired combination of core and essence affixes.

Fossils

Fossils are a special type of currency that can be socketed into resonators to modify crafting behavior in specific ways, introduced in the Delve league. They act similar to a Chaos Orb or Orb of Alchemy, and can be applied to any resonator that has at least one socket already. When applied to an item, a fossil adds an implicit mod that increases its quality by up to 30%. This is a significant increase over the maximum quality of 20% that a regular item can have. This can be useful if you have a high-quality item that needs to be upgraded before you can use it to make an enchantment.

Additionally, some fossils can add special Delve fossil-only modifiers that cannot be crafted or found anywhere else. These can include things like abyssal sockets, which can be extremely powerful for certain builds. Similarly, some fossils can also add influence modifiers that change how vaal skills work. These modifiers work very differently from normal implicit mods in that they affect the entire item. For example, a Pristine Fossil can block off all life rolls on an item or guarantee that it will not receive defense related modifiers such as armor, energy shield, and evasion ratings. It can even increase the chance of a particular tag appearing on an item, such as minion or attack.

In addition to these special fossil mods, there are also other fossils that can improve the number of white sockets an item has or increase the chance that a specific type of socket will be present on an item. These fossils are very rare, but they can be very useful if you want to increase your chances of finding a good item. Fossils can be obtained from Fossil Remains, which spawn along the road between Delve nodes or behind fractured walls depending on the biome. They can also be dropped from certain Delve encounters or purchased from Niko, Master of the Depths, for a price. Fossils are very expensive to acquire, but can be an excellent method of getting a good item at a low cost.

Orb Of Annulment

There are a few advanced crafting techniques that you can use to manipulate the odds of getting a certain type of affix on your item. These are useful if you need to get a specific affix but aren’t willing to pay the cost of an Exalted Orb. One of these is using a Fracturing Orb on a white item that has a certain type of modifier that you want to remove. However, there are some risks to using this technique. Fracturing OrbStack Size: 20Fractures a random modifier on a magic or rare item with at least four modifiers, locking it in place. Right click this item and left click a magic or rare item to apply it. Cannot be used on Influenced, Synthesized or Fractured items.

This item can be a good way to improve an influenced item that has many unwanted mods. It will also increase the odds of an item being a rare item by one tier. However, you must be careful to only use this item on an item that has enough affixes to have a decent chance of becoming a rare item. Otherwise, you might end up with a very weak or broken item. Another useful item in the game is an Awakener’s Orb. This item will combine two influenced items with different influences and create a new rare item with both of those influences. It will not change the affixes on the item or increase its base power, but it can still be a great way to make an upgrade on a strong item.

Conclusion

In addition to this, there are other currency items that can be used to modify and enhance your gear. These include: Orbs of Annulment can be purchased from the merchants in the game or found dropped by slain monsters and chests. They can also be exchanged for Annulment Shards that drop from the Harbinger league map devices. Players can also purchase them from online shops, such as Mulefactory.
